Pros

Retirement program is phenomenal, but good luck hanging in there that long.

Cons

Most miserable environment I have ever worked in, and I'm not referring to the facility. Poor management at all levels, hostile management, deep internal division, no teamwork between departments, management does not deal with the root cause issues. Best day for me was the day I walked out the door for the last time. Oh and they beg their favored employees to go on these job websites and write good reviews about the company to try and outshine all the negative reviews. Wouldn't need to do that if it was actually a good place to work.

Pros

Employee-owned means you’re not just clocking in — you’re invested in the success of the company. There’s real pride in working here, and it shows in how teams step up for each other. Every day brings variety, problem-solving, and chances to learn across different parts of the steel and recycling business. Leadership is approachable, and there’s room to grow if you’re willing to put in the effort. The culture balances professionalism with plenty of personality, which keeps things fun even when the workload is heavy.

Cons

Like any fast-paced industry, it can get busy and a little chaotic at times — but that’s part of the challenge and what keeps the work interesting.
