Pros
People regularly ask me why I am still at PagerDuty after years at the company, and my answer is always the same: Product and the People. We are inventing a brand new product category and doing it with people who are highly capable and care about the company. This is not easy, but it is incredibly rewarding when you get to work on tough problems with competent and friendly coworkers.
Cons
Like many other successful companies, PagerDuty is not immune to the challenges that come with high growth. Every six months, I tell the people I work with to make sure this is what they still want, because it can change very quickly. Sometimes it changes into something that you are even more excited about, sometimes into something you are not excited about.
