Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages, and we're continually reviewing and improving these areas to better meet the needs of our employees. Our Dutonian Wellness Days throughout the year provide the entire company the opportunity to shut down and ensure all Dutonians have an opportunity to focus on their wellness, relax, and recharge. Additionally, we have HibernationDuty. HibernationDuty is when everyone at PagerDuty, with the exception of a small, coverage crew, is asked to take a much needed break each year. We want to allow everyone an opportunity to truly disconnect and recharge, without worrying about the emails and work piling up while away. We believe that this break is an effective way to ensure Dutonians get the much-needed rest they require and an opportunity to spend time with their loved ones. We would like to remind you that PagerDuty has a policy against and does not tolerate discrimination, harassment, or retaliation. PagerDuty is committed to an environment where open, honest communications are the expectation, not the exception. We want our employees to feel comfortable in approaching their management in instances where they believe violations of policies or standards have occurred, including any concerns regarding toxic behaviors and favoritism. We encourage you to share more details directly with us by submitting a report to our third-party administrator at pagerduty.ethicspoint.com. We would like to understand your concerns further.

Pros

It was a wonderful company when I joined back in 2017. Truly the best place I've ever worked for in my 10+ years in sales. People were helpful, intelligent, humble (including almost all execs), and driven. Benefits were fantastic as well, and pay was just under industry average but lots of room to make a lot more than OTE due to uncapped commissions. Execs were willing to join customer meetings even with smaller accounts, thinking strategically, not transactionally. I enjoyed my 4 years there, and while this review is extremely overdue, it was my experience and I'd go back there in a heartbeat if I were still doing sales.

Cons

Some things have changed since I left, but there are still many people remaining at the company for over 5-8 years and tell me things are still better than some other tech companies their spouses or friends work. PD tightened up spend to get to profitability, which resulted in some layoffs over the last couple years as well. Now with the departure of Jenn Tejada and new CEO coming onboard, it's going to be interesting to see where he'll take the company moving forward.

Pros

they have existing customers, most are churning

Cons

Leadership is incompetent and micro manages. Full of middle management that doesn't help move the needle just tries to cover up their poor performance by blaming others. Poor culture, no one seems to enjoy working there and most are on their way out whether by choice or constant layoffs
