Pros

A recruiter from the organization reached out to me via LinkedIn. We set a meeting just to chat about possible overlap in my goals and the company's objectives. The recruiter was very easy to talk to, and I felt very comfortable voicing what I was looking for. Next, I met with my potential manager and last of all, the Senior VP. Within a few days I had my offer. Which was market generous. Everyone I spoke with appears to be masters of their domain and I'm very excited to experience what I can learn from them. The onboarding process was one of the most seamless onboarding process I have ever experienced. I was very nervous, as this was my first onboarding as a remote employee. However, the recruiter did a remarkable job keeping me informed on what to expect and what was expected of me. My computer arrived a few days before my start date and it was basically plug and play. This organizations implementation of emerging technology has been a well received change from my previous organization. Even my encounter with IT was flawless. Today, I was part of a departmental meeting, and what really stood out to me was the obvious familiarity between the team members. There was a casual aire about the conversation and banter, which was remarkably productive in nature. My initial impression was that many of the team members felt confident in being heard and where actually exhibiting active listening skills. It was very refreshing to see so many faces, as with my previous organization most meetings where conducted facelessly. I have high hopes for this fresh faced organization, as the onboarding process has been a sign of relief in its obvious organization capacities.

Cons

I am a brand new employee in my first week, so I will return with a follow-up on in the trench company culture, as well as whether my expectations have aligned with what I company expected.
