Pros

Great work culture. Good work life balance.

Cons

The company cares only for the long timers and people in limelight and they do everything to protect them. Absolutely no help or support given to people in new roles. They promise many things but nothing happens in reality. The P&C team is all about talking and they think they are at the top of the world by saying anything they want. Nobody can challenge them. There were very cheap words let out by one of them and I still remember. The head of P&C will protect them and the long timers but least bothered to hear out what normal people like I got to say at a time of crisis. Most of the employees are not helpful but they claim to be helpful and that’s what concerned me a lot. Very unfair treatment towards certain employees. Very partial treatment towards some employees who according to the management are the next generation of leaders. People who have been with the company for a long time think they are untouchables and they can do whatever they like. I had a very horrid time working at papercut and am sorry but I will not recommend this company. You will definitely find lot of positive reviews from others but only few like me voice out their bad experiences. Am sure there are many more like me out there who are just quiet.

Thank you for providing us with your feedback. Firstly, thank you for being a part of PaperCut for over a year, I’m grateful for your contribution to our business. I’m glad to hear you enjoyed our work culture and work-life balance, they are both incredibly important to me and are two key aspects of our workplace we pride ourselves on. I am however saddened to read of the negative aspects of your experience that you have highlighted. Our intention at PaperCut is to create an environment where people can learn and grow and, importantly, build great products. I whole-heartedly apologise that your experience at PaperCut didn’t live up to those intentions. Our long term employees do often play quite significant roles in the business and I’m proud to have watched many of them grow into their current roles. However, I understand that sometimes that means they may not have experienced or had to manage certain challenges before, which can result in misunderstandings - I know even I am not immune to that. Equally, I’m excited by our newcomers who offer fresh perspectives and add their fantastic experience to ours. We all have an opportunity to learn from one another. We’re actively working on improving our decision-making framework to ensure we have more diverse perspectives in the room when key decisions are being made for the business and our people. We hope that this will provide a platform for newer employees to share those perspectives and experiences with us, as I certainly value the insights that fresh eyes can bring. Our People Experience team works very closely with me to ensure that we offer constructive feedback and support to anyone who needs it, even in times where the person themselves may not want to hear it. Whilst we do our best to provide a great experience, sometimes for various reasons things don’t work out that way. I’ve always seen these moments as opportunities to listen and learn, and I know our People Experience team will also be taking your experience on board with the aim to improve things for anyone who feels similarly moving forward. If you would like to reach out to me directly and discuss further, please do so. - Chris

Pros

Bonus scheme You get paid if you work.

Cons

The leadership at this company is the worst I’ve seen in my entire career. The CEO clearly plays favorites these people get all the attention and praise. This year, one of the rudest and most inappropriate employees was actually rewarded for being “direct” during an all hands meeting. There are problems everywhere, and constant layoffs just to hit targets. The People team is honestly the worst I’ve ever dealt with and take forever to resolve anything.
