I only left because of the lead. I knew that management and corporate would not approve of how we were told to do things. The lead was concerned with cutting corners and everyone had to do the registration her way. We did not even have the patient in front of us but were told to put certain responses in the registration prior to even speaking to the patient. When I questioned why I couldn't just do the complete registration while speaking to the patient, she said her that she had been there for years and no patient ever said a different response to certain questions. I was warned by coworkers not to cross her because she had been there for years. I am still in healthcare doing the same job at a different hospital but doing the complete registration in front of the patient while entering the responses given by that individual patient. The high turnover was due to the lead not the job.
