The company only promotes yes men in higher positions who in turn only promote/favor yes men below them. Not what’s in best interest of department or company. Have seen several competent people be denied for promotions over a lesser employee or fresh degree employee. Company knows they can pay them lower and then just hope to keep the wool over their eyes. Hard workers are told they’re appreciated but words mean nothing when wages are far below market and those workers are used to cover workload issues caused by poor management choices. Some managers can be good but others micromanage. Poor choices in hiring/promotion choices puts departments at risk of turnover or severe gaps of knowledge if seasoned employees leave. Pay is insulting, 2% increases a year whether you are a hard worker or just punch in every day. Similar jobs with less duties for other well established companies pay 20% or more in base salary. Instead we get something along the lines from our regional CEO of “well we don’t decrease wages when COL goes down”….and then just never addresses it again despite multiple complaints and resignations because of pay. Company also doesn’t care about any experience you’ve gained within company. They’ll keep you at the lowest point of pay range until you quit. Then all of a sudden they try to throw money at you to retain you while telling every other employee they can’t give them raises. So lies being told to one person or everyone else. You have managers who can’t / do not understand the job below them and don’t even make an effort to attempt to. The company pays new employees higher than ones who have been there for years also. So 2 people could hold same job, one’s been there for 10 years, the other fresh on the job with no knowledge of the job duties yet getting paid more.
