Pros

Solid base of subject matter experts supporting departments, management seeks feedback from employees on process improvement routinely, and implementation of system and technological enhancements. In clinical operations, working for a CRO affords the opportunity to gain experience in a wide range of therapeutic areas.

Cons

There are challenges inherent to working in a contract research environment. Project teams may be comprised of departments from sponsor, CRO, and other vendors and vendors may be managed and chosen by sponsors. Additionally, desire to specialize in a particular therapeutic area may be limited, dependent upon project needs and timing.

Pros

Well trained managers that empower you, truly listen to you, and only do well if YOU do well/ they provide resources and definitely offer development opportunities to those who want them AND have demonstrated they can maintain their scoped, regular duties at a high level of quality while working on special development projects Also unlimited RTO in US

Cons

no bonuses and too much focus/emphasis on how many years with *Parexel*, as opposed to how many years total you have been in the industry (ex doing site management at another CRO or Sponsor group )
