Pros
The firm was established, in part, as a grand experiment and that mindset persists in the company’s ethos today. Surviving two downturns and several failed/successful experiments to grow in size and maturity, the company is more resilient than ever, working hard maintain the lasting culture necessary for long term success. The basics have been in place since the beginning (sabbaticals, ESOP, very competitive retirement/health benefits) and we continue to challenge norms.
Cons
A role at Pariveda at any level requires full-time focus as leadership challenges individuals to think further and further out. At times, this long-tail thinking is at odds with tactical decisions and profitability, creating frustration and varying degrees of tension.
