Pros
One of the best pros I can say about Park is that the people there are nice. The majority of the business is local and they are patient and understanding. It feels like the core values of the park are actually followed by the teams. The saying we are more than just a bank is seen even in the work.
Cons
Since this was such a small business and the values were small town I found that it often felt like I was working in the 1980s. Every morning we had to do a daily standup that was about the highlights of the bank at times it felt as though some of the actions that were preached were not adapted by anyone. Now in terms of the PMO, this is not a standard PMO, it is still a bit behind on the times. The support from other teams is lacking. At times it felt as though if a project had an issue it was the PMO's Fault. There was no ownership in the business and technology business lines. The practices felt about 10-20 years behind. Something else that is extremely frustrating is the lack of decision making the entire company has decision making paralysis.
