Cons
So many things have changed there lately. It’s no longer the great days with Mike Packnett as our CEO. With the new leadership in place it’s being run as a “for profit.” Physicians that have dedicated their entire adult life to Parkview are being pushed out. Leadership isn’t qualified at all. Most have never touched a patient and then tell you what you should do. People with years more experience and actual relevant education can’t advance at Parkview. It’s almost entirely run by “Healthcare Leadership” and “Accounting” grads. I moved away to find a different hospital that still believed that those at the bedside are still the ones that should be promoted. Not someone who only knows what the books in college told them is the right choice for running a hospital.
