Pros
As a software engineer, I've been very happy with my time at Patriot. Management is receptive to feedback and gives developers the opportunity to influence which projects get worked on. Patriot is a unique size where you can have meaningful technical conversations with the CEO in the kitchen and then catch national radio/TV ads outside of work. Management recognizes that technical debt is a tool that can be flexed to expedite projects, but also doesn't shy away from investing time to address it. AWS is prevalent throughout the stack and Patriot is willing to invest time and money into training developers. This willingness to invest in their employees is one of the best things about working at Patriot.
Cons
Because of Patriot's investment into promoting and hiring from within, there is a lack of senior developers with outside experience. This can lead to slower adoption of new technologies and can make it difficult to find experienced technical mentors.
