Pros
Decent pay and benefits. No strict project management or deadlines. Established tech, so there's no need to be on the cutting edge. If you're lucky to be in the right team, there are a few very supportive managers who help you learn.
Cons
Authoritarian management style. Decisions are made by higherups who are not qualified to be s/w engineers or product managers, and given to others down in the ladder to bring to life. Constantly changing requirements with zero process or documentation, so change comes very chaotically and the product is very well put together. No solid product management that researches the right problems and talks to customers, so things are built in the dark and forgotten about. Stalled company growth makes middle management want to constantly distract with inconsequential 'wins', while the product suffers. Overall, if you're serious about career growth and learning, avoid this place.
