Pros

Mostly a fun place to work. Heavily dependent on your team, but the work is enjoyable and overlap with other teams keeps things fresh. The work load is mostly fine. While there are weeks where I had to push 60+ hours, most of the time, it's been a good amount.

Cons

Management turnover has created such a chaotic environment. I've never seen so many people get fired/laid off over a range of time. Goalpost keeps getting changed and not necessarily pushed back, but sometimes replaced with other things. It's pretty disheartening to spend months working overtime on a project only for it get canned shortly afterwards. Oh, and did I mention constant layoffs and firings?

Thank you for leaving a review. We appreciate both positive and constructive feedback, and we do take it to heart. Glad to hear you find our environment fun & team oriented. Sorry to hear that leadership changes are causing things to feel chaotic. While very common for a company growing and evolving as fast as Pax8, changes like this can feel disruptive. We are working hard to create focus on fewer, more impactful priorities. Again, thanks for the review & we wish you the best in your endeavors.

Pros

Strong individual contributors who are partner-centric. New office is nice for hybrid work.

Cons

What was once a strong culture has eroded significantly due to poor leadership, misaligned talent in key roles, and a chronic lack of strategic direction and communication. Tenure or relationships are rewarded over competence, and those at the top protect each other — even when decisions have negatively impacted the business and/or partners. People are treated as revenue-generating assets, not human beings. Leadership is so deeply disconnected from the real problems that have persisted for years.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re really pleased to hear that our people, partner focus, and hybrid workspace stood out positively for you—these remain core to who we are. We also recognise that maintaining a strong culture as we grow takes ongoing focus. We continue to invest in strengthening leadership capability, improving how we communicate and align on strategy, and creating more consistent ways for feedback to be heard and acted on across the business. We know there’s always more to do in these areas, and insights like this play an important role in helping us improve and we hope you took time to share this feedback internally via leadership or our anonymous channels whilst you worked with us. We appreciate you sharing your experience and wish you all the best for the future.
