Pros
The values that Ebay Inc strives for are worthy of emulation by any company or individual. It's a place with heart ; which is quite amazing given the size of the company. Huge business in online payments and security differentiation. Simplified product structure recently makes for greater sakes focus.
Cons
Too many senior level people that are fluffy both in management and technical tracks. Lots of hand waving by these folks who don't understand payments business or payments tech and think that PayPal is a web startup or that it is a new programming language that will change the payments ecosystem. Too many very senior programmer type people who don't understand payments and are rewarded for implementing basic dev environment tooling and custom infra that is slowing down engineering productivity.
