Pros

Great sales training program. If this is your first sales job, I would highly recommend working for Paychex. You will get great exposure to outside sales.

Cons

Horrible management. Don't expect to get guidance on how to be successful. Success is strictly dependent on which territory you get. Managers are over loaded with employees and don't have enough time to properly mentor individuals. This creates a frustrating mindset for more tenure reps which creates high turnover. Don't expect to be in this job more then 2 years, the pay structure is not intended for employees to last long.

Pros

Paychex is a great company to work for. I’ve held multiple roles over 20+ years. There are always ups and downs, but for every position, manager, decision I disagree with, there are ten others that are outstanding.

Cons

It’s a large company with many opportunities to grow, but smaller companies may offer higher compensation.

Pros

Remote work is a plus. Collaboration from peers is more plus than minus. Documentation of business technology was great for the most part.

Cons

Worse holiday observance company I ever worked for. Pay is low for what is asked. Work/life balance was good until 2025. Mid-level leadership and above is not ideal. I had little guidance when I started so, especially from manager so had to figure things out with help of peers.
