Pros

Great place to learn sales and get customer facing experience. Paychex experience helped me moving to other roles in marketing and product management as my sales experiences provided a customer focus and ability to connect and challenge internal sales and marketing teams that others without sales experience struggled with.

Cons

Small territories with quotas initially designed for a larger addressable market. Sales skill is still the number one predictor of success, but the economic health of the local community and viability of referral sources is a close second.

Pros

People and the overall environment is a positive one. If you do your part, definite long term career potential. It’s not easy- but stable, growing. Worth serious consideration for early career looking for sales experience with a great training program. Also good for mid-career consideration if base salary isn’t the primary reason you are in sales.

Cons

Very fast pace that doesn’t suit everyone. If you are looking for easy or just a job to “hang out”, this probably isn’t the right spot for you.

Pros

Remote work is a plus. Collaboration from peers is more plus than minus. Documentation of business technology was great for the most part.

Cons

Worse holiday observance company I ever worked for. Pay is low for what is asked. Work/life balance was good until 2025. Mid-level leadership and above is not ideal. I had little guidance when I started so, especially from manager so had to figure things out with help of peers.
