Pros

401k, benefits, PTO, work from home

Cons

They don't train, at all. The weekly trainings they have don't actually teach anything they just wanna hear themselves talk I think. Managers and employees talk bad about everyone behind their backs to others. The managers have such an insane workload they can't even help their own employees. The CEO could care less about the employees, don't drink the Paychexproud kool-aid, they don't care about you I promise. They don't care that the cost of living is insane, because they keep pay rate the same and make It harder to make money every year. The micro managing is insane. Changing quotas are upright impossible to make money with.Everyone acts like high schoolers. Employees can practice dodgy borderline illegal sales tactics as long as money is made. Your mental health will suffer here, real bad. Clients literally hate their products and reps, the amount of complaints I would hear about the Paychex system and Representatives was honestly unbearable. How can they be leading in the country when 90% of everyone I spoke to hated them? The old CEO was so much better.

Pros

Paychex is a great company to work for. I’ve held multiple roles over 20+ years. There are always ups and downs, but for every position, manager, decision I disagree with, there are ten others that are outstanding.

Cons

It’s a large company with many opportunities to grow, but smaller companies may offer higher compensation.

Pros

Nothing is good about working here.

Cons

Nobody is ever held accountable. Pay is awful. Benefits were all moved out of state, so all providers in the area are all out of network. Jobs are being moved to India. The list goes on. Sales is the absolute favorite department in the entire company. Nothing sales can do is ever wrong, even when they give false information to clients and then the support team has to deal with the fallback. Don't get me started on Payroll.... the entire department has gone to the wind. I honestly don't know how this company ever did good with payroll services. The #1 complaint i got from every single client I interacted with was they could never get ahold of their Payroll Specialist. The company's response to this was to start making other departments learn payroll duties. This year they moved insurance benefits to a plan out of Arkansas, which made every provider I was already seeing become out of network. I had my first major medical scare of my adulthood and ended up paying a few grand out of pocket because U of R was out of network. Promotions are non existent. They make you apply and interview for any role you want to move into. There is nothing good about working here, and i would advise anyone to stay away from them.
