Pros

Possibility of large commissions, attainable presidents club measurements, great foot in the door career building block. Promote from within typically.

Cons

Absolutely insane amount of micromanaging. Young, attractive people who doesn’t know any better are their ideal candidate. Be prepared to simply cold call 10-30 hours a week. Way too old school in their approach, manager is probably going to be a former rep that sold 1-2 solid deals. The lies fed from the top (especially during trainings led by executives) will start with the lines “you can’t ever get a better job and nobody has left here with a better job”. Insane, right winged company that boarders on unethical.

You’re right that the benefits of working with our sales teams are industry leading and come after a lot of hard work. It’s always important to know that these positions are not easy and Paycom makes this no secret prior to employment; this is why we are proud to provide our sales team members with ample training, leadership training, and opportunity to advance within the company. We realize that these positions will naturally not be a perfect fit for everybody, so we are forthcoming about the expectations and opportunities here at Paycom. We wish you the best in your future endeavors and will share your feedback with the leadership team.

Pros

When I first started at Paycom, it was great! They were all about the employees and making sure we were truly a family and it made coming to work so great. The benefits are what kept me there for so long tbh.

Cons

Massive layoffs with 0 explanations, they fired women for getting pregnant (told them the could go on leave…and then fired them after they submitted their packets to literally go give birth), they changed the PTO payout policy and forced everyone to sign it or else they were fired, there was 0 trust in management, if you’re not a part of the cool kids club…you’re ostracized. This place will drain you if everything. Who you are will change and be damaged from working here. This company gave me PTSD and the C-level individual who I worked for was AWFUL. I’ve never been so mistreated and spoken down to in my life….but hey, the pay was good I guess. Just know what you’re getting into!
