Pros
After being in HR/Recruiting for the past 8 years, I feel like I have found a company who really stays true to its mission and values. Now I can't speak for every department or team, but my experience with Paycor thus far has been pretty awesome and it honestly stands out as one of the highlights of my career. I have incredible colleagues who are collaborative, supportive and forward thinking. We always do our best to bring in top talent and I see the amount of effort that goes into creating a positive employee and interviewing experience. For me, it is exciting to be a person who is creating the culture and finding the talent to drive our company forward. It's also a great feeling to be surrounded by individuals who are equally excited and happy to do the same. We seem to have a great thing going on in the HR department. There are endless ways to get involved at Paycor and at the same time, these events are never expected or required; for the most part, you can be as involved as you would like to be. So if you are someone who likes to socialize and network, eat your heart out! We have employee groups to join, professional networking events to attend, and hundreds of volunteer activities throughout the year that allow our employees to give back to the community and to build relationships cross functionally. Most important, leadership actually encourages these types of involvement, which is UNHEARD of in most companies. Another added bonus is that managers try to work with their employees to create healthy work/life balance. In my experience, my manager has given me the opportunity to prove myself and to manage my own desk with minimal micromanaging. Overall, I am so grateful that I landed this opportunity. In Cincinnati, there really aren't many companies that can compete the employee perks and professional development that Paycor has to offer.
Cons
Truthfully, I haven't ran into too many since I started working here. I love my team, my manager lets me do my job and is supportive when it is needed, and I have a healthy work life balance and opportunities to be involved in other pieces of the business. Any cons would most likely be related to a position that I am working on that may be difficult to fill, but none related to the company as a whole or the team I work with.
