Pros

Easily the best company I have ever been apart of. First off the culture here is night and day from the other HCM company I worked for (Paycom) The leadership in the Southwest has everyones best interest in mind and will go above and beyond when called upon. Everyone is the organization is extremely accessible and always willing to help out. The product is best in class and the service model wins awards. I could sell for any software company in the country, but choose Paycor because it is #1.. But back to culture --- so my favorite story is from our club trip in the Dominican four years ago. We were on a catamaran, headed our for the day and our tour guide was telling us about her future ambitions. She was a young girl with a sick mom making $3/ hour and was not sure if she was going to have the means to go to college. In fact she was quite sure that school was not going to be an option. With that, the group of 80 Paycor associates decided to sponsor her first year. However with everyone participation we have now paid for her first 3 years and are about to pay for her last. It took her 9 months to take test and get into the only real college in Santo Domingo. She is an honor student and preparing to graduate with a business degree next year. Pretty cool thing to be a part of. And I think that story truly embodies Paycor. On top of that, the pay is great.. Huge earning potential!!

Cons

I cannot think of any..

Pros

Remote-first company, flexible hours, very realistic/understanding that human beings work here, not automatons.

Cons

I have none. Honestly. Happiest I've been as an employee in any job I've ever had.

Pros

Paycheck hits on time every two weeks.

Cons

I wanted to like working at Paycor. The product has potential and the pitch during the interview process sounded promising. But the reality of day-to-day life here is a far cry from what's advertised. Micromanagement is rampant. Leadership tracks every minute of your day — from login times to bathroom breaks — yet somehow trusts no one to make even the smallest decision independently. You're treated like a number, not a professional. There's zero autonomy, and any attempt to take initiative is quickly shut down. The leadership team is deeply out of touch. Many managers got their roles through tenure, not merit, and it shows. They struggle to answer basic questions about the industry, lean on buzzwords in meetings, and consistently make decisions that anyone with relevant experience would know to avoid. When things go wrong, blame rolls downhill fast. The culture is toxic and cliquey. If you're not in the right social circle, advancement is nearly impossible. Favoritism is blatant, feedback is rarely constructive, and the "open door policy" is a joke — speak up and you'll find yourself quietly pushed out. The work environment doesn't help either. High turnover means institutional knowledge constantly walks out the door. Morale is low, burnout is high, and HR seems more interested in protecting the company than the employees.
