Pros
The store team I worked with were a bunch a great people, and the discounts were pretty nice.
Cons
THE WORKLOAD Promotion Changes are often chaotic and time consuming. Placing items on sale requires scanning every single item and placing a specific sales tag on them...this is to be done on a very strict timeline with little to no error on top of setting displays, hanging posters, and all the while assisting customers by way of the customer journey.... The Customer Journey/SMILES= This sales tactic is too pushy and out dated. Customers almost always react negatively to it and seem to get annoyed with the attention we pay to them since we are constantly required to check back with them to offer additional merchandise that they dont want. Instead of building rapport with customers we're actually driving a wedge between the two. This is taking customer service and floor control to an extreme. LACK OF GROWTH I worked for this company for 2+ years and was promised a promotion time and time again with no follow through. I was constantly getting my hopes up only to be let down. It all seemed to be a game of favorites and politics, one had to be friends with the right people in order to receive any sort of recognition or promotion. Very Frustrating. MANAGEMENT District managers are paid to go around to stores and critique store managers and teams without really knowing what it's like to work day to day at the store level. They constantly find something wrong and hardly ever focus on the postive achievements of the team/store manager.
