Pros
At my store, we are all very close and work flows well for all of us. It is a relatively easy job to do assuming you don't mind customer service or organization. It is all about the customer and keeping product represented and tidy. I really enjoy the environment at my store, but I believe every store operates according to it's management.
Cons
The downside is the pay. I have been working there for a year and a half and have received one $0.25 raise. I am due for one in a month but was told it may only be $0.15. It's not enough. I work about 25-30 hours a week because I am a college student and the wages are too low for my bills. My advice is to get hired at a higher wage, since raises don't seem to cut it. But....it is very easy to advance. They are all about promoting within. So if you work hard and can take on the responsibility, you may get a raise by just moving up. For me, that is not an option. But it worked for my coworker who became Assistant Mngr in a year and 4 months! Tuition reimbursement too!!
