Pros
The facility was top notch and the equipment provided to do your job was equally nice. The laid-back atmosphere of the team in general was also nice. The pay as a contractor was outstanding.
Cons
There was little or no communication between teams, nor between management and workers. In 5 months of work I actually spoke to my manager about 15 times, and he sat directly across from me. I received no direction as to how to direct my project, even when I asked for it. I also received no feedback as to the job I was doing, positive or negative, again even when asked for. When I asked for guidance my response was generally that "I'll take care of it", even though I had the most experience of any on the team with the equipment. The project groups all have equal say in decisions with no leadership from directors or above, so it was easy to deadlock on a decision, causing the project scope to change once or twice a week.
