Pros
The people I worked with were awsome and became my best friends. But that doesn't mean every store worked well together
Cons
You are understaffed. The company and managers play dirty tricks. I've been working for payless a year now I've had 3 different managers already and been shared labor (work at many different store) so I've seen alot. Almost every manager will come in late.....even if it's a weekend when you have high traffic, and if you open you're by yourself till he or she gets there. BUT THEM SHOWING UP LATE WILL NOOOTTTT SHOW UP ON THERE TIMES SHEETS!!!! That's right they correct the time sheets so they are still getting paid the full shift....when they wernt there. But if you the employee is late you get written up. It's a mim. Wage job..... and it's hourly. But the company tries to run it likes it's commission. You have to make sales converon and upt every shift or hours will get cut. That is if you even can get hours. On avg at my store i have a girl who is lucky to get 7 hrs a week. Another gets 12.....WTF I get the most hours I was in the training process of being a full timer then asl but stopped because what they would do is train me in everything. Then not give me the promotion. But still expect me to everything a fuller timer does with min wage. The company lies and cheats money is always missing merchidise always Missing and when it's time to ask who did what the managers and district leaders point at the associates saying it's our fault........DO NOT WORK HERE
