Pros

Some very nice people, company outings, decent holiday party. They truly want you to be successful at the role. It's a call center job so it is what it is. Pays okay for the role.

Cons

While it is not possible to cover everything the job entails in three weeks, the training is still laughable (except for the systems training) . Time when we could have been learning more were spent playing meaningless kahoots. Pick two: High availability, quickly responded to emails by clients, and happy clients. Account managers' performance is measured by the amount of time they are available to take phone calls from clients on the phone and the amount of time they respond to those clients. It is impossible to maintain a high ability rate and serve the emails being sent in addition to the multiple inbound calls. It's a matter of understaffing, especially during the busy season. Oh, and they pull skype conversations from people who have left the company to get dirt on already existing employees, so watch what you say. I would have liked to stay at Paylocity, but there seemed to be very little room for growth outside of client services, of which I was no longer happy.

Paylocity Response

Well... at least we’re trying? We like to believe that Paylocity is a company that does cares about their people and their needs. We do have opportunities to get better training and balancing the workload - and we’re working on it. We hate to see you go but at least you were able to enjoy your team and managers while you were with us. It’s always a plus to have great people to work with at any company.   And, yes, Paylocity is a growing company and with that does come growing pains as you mentioned, which we are working on. We want everyone to be successful - and we want everyone to have opportunities to grow their careers outside of their current functions, if that’s where their interests are. Based on your experience, we know we need to get better at showcasing all the internal opportunities we have, because that’s one of the better outcomes of a growing company – more and more opportunities. At the end of the day, we know we’re not perfect, but we’re always working on ways to get better, and your feedback will help towards that goal.

Pros

Work remote. Fantastic leaders, Definitely a place I have enjoyed working.

Cons

Pay is slightly less than competitors but work life balance and culture make up for it.

Pros

The pay is decent compared to the market and the tech is solid.

Cons

The company is abandoning their strategy of "partner first" and is doing their best to become a worse version of Paychex/ADP... Every decision that comes from the top seems so disconnected with reality. Turnover is a huge problem. In just 12 months I've had turnover in my director, channel partner managers, channel support, partner services, RVP, SDR, and more. It's impossible to get anything done when every position around you is a revolving door. Everyone I speak with across lines of business has a similar story. It is a mess across the entire org.
