Pros

- Talented coworkers (dwindling as they jump ship) - Remote work opportunities - Decent benefits

Cons

Extremely shady pay practices including but not limited to: - Starting new hires at higher pay rates than more tenured employees - No regard for an employee's actual worth based on their prior industry experience and current job performance (people with years of payroll experience can make several dollars less an hour here than people hired straight out of college with no experience) - Giving employees "promotions" by giving them more responsibilities/ complex clients with NO pay raise while giving others a 5-10% raise for the same "lateral move". Make up your minds. Which is it? A lateral move or a promotion? If it's a promotion, why are you picking and choosing who gets raises? 3+ years with no straight answers is what made me start applying to other places. I had an offer within 3 weeks making 40% more an hour doing that same job with less responsibilities. The pay is definitely below industry standard. Other qualms: - All feedback to upper level management falls on deaf ears. Their favorite phrase is "I hear you". How about doing something about it for a change? - Team leads and resources stretched so thin that there is little support when you need it. I fear of my former TLs and their wellbeing/health in this role. - Unhealthy amounts of overtime are expected from you if you are to keep up with the client volume - Lack of support and partnership from sales partners. Their hasty deal submissions often times have incorrect 1st check dates listed causing client pushes/project restructuring/additional system updates/client expectations needing to be reset. - The piling on of additional responsibilities/additional steps to your processes instead of further simplifying the process for your ICs - No standard department procedure in place for ICs taking time off. Wanna take a vacation? Be prepared for ungodly amounts of OT before and after your time off paired with a mental breakdown when you return. - Want career progression? Look elsewhere! They'll place you where they need you rather than where you belong best. People's talents are not utilized to the best of their abilities at this company. It's all based on favoritism and optics.

We appreciate your thoughts and feedback. We’re happy to announce that we have recently rolled out pay transparency to the entire organization as well as extended the RSU program. Being transparent with our employees is extremely important to us at Paylocity and we commit to investing in our employees as well as paying employees fairly for the work that they do. Additionally, we strongly encourage employees to take time off when needed and focus on their mental health. We encourage employees to speak to their manager about career pathing and remind them of their HR Business Partner as a resource for any additional desired support.

Pros

Great benefits; 90% of the ppl that worked there were the best and really did great work.

Cons

Made employees choose between having MLK Day off or Juneteenth- both which are federally recognized holidays. Excuse was that our customers are open on those days so we need to be open. So as a company, we had to pick which would be a paid holiday and everyone chose Juneteenth because it was in the summer. I think we got a floating holiday to use for any other holiday we wanted off that wasn’t recognized by the company. As you can imagine, this racism was prevalent in management/leadership. My team was the most diverse team and we all got restructured/laid off. There’s a lot of ego and control issues in this company, especially in Talent Acquisition.
