Pros

I have really enjoyed working for Paylocity so far. Management has been great, anything I've needed help on they have been there to help or assign someone to help me. My co-workers are amazing, even during year end, which is a very busy time, they are never to busy to stop and help me. I was a bit worried working remotely would be difficult as far as getting help, but I think it has been the best of any job I've worked at. They are also pretty flexible and generous. I'm still going to school, and right from the beginning they had no problem working with the slight changes I needed for finals. They also sent a "Taste of Chicago" box to us. There was a Chicago Deep Dish Pizza, Cheesecake sampler, and amazing English Toffee. It was just so nice to know that you're being thought of even though you aren't in the office.

Cons

Currently I really don't have any complaint. It truly seems like a team effort and everyone wants to see everyone else succeed.

Paylocity Response

Paylocity really stands behind its "Talent Anywhere" philosophy, and we want to be as flexible as possible to accommodate the lives of our employees. We're glad you enjoyed the treats! Thanks for the comment!

Pros

Work remote. Fantastic leaders, Definitely a place I have enjoyed working.

Cons

Pay is slightly less than competitors but work life balance and culture make up for it.

Pros

There used to be many. By the time I left all of the pros had been phased out. The only pro was allowing some people to stay remote- but if you wanted to advance in your career you would be forced back in office.

Cons

Low pay. Micromanaging. Hiring leadership from outside Paylocity and even outside of the industry. Major and extreme departmental changes rapidly. Change is a part of business but in six months my role became unrecognizable. I was there for five years and had planned to be there for much longer. This last year was terrible. Low communication from all leadership. Higher and higher expectations of employees with no bonuses or pay raises to accommodate. My regional director was forcing people out and speaking badly about employees regularly.
