Pros

Remote work (work/life balance is great) Great team - Really enjoyed my work Benefits are good Despite having the position eliminated - I was treated fairly with severance and other considerations.

Cons

Preaches culture, but lacks follow through on some values. When I started, I thought Paylocity was the best thing since sliced bread. The culture was refreshing. I loved my department and team. So when my position was eliminated, I was completely blindsided - It was my day off and I was moving to a new city. I got the dreaded phone call about an hour before I started moving that my position had been cut. I was told that it was due to my "performance", I apparently didn't meet the metrics of the position, but in the 1 1/2 years of being in that position, I was never once told in one on one's or performance reviews that my performance was lacking in anyway. I had been promoted twice in the almost 4 years I was there. The entire restructure process for the department felt rushed and handled poorly. Timing couldn't have been worse, making these sweeping/drastic changes at the busiest time of the year is ridiculous.

Pros

Work remote. Fantastic leaders, Definitely a place I have enjoyed working.

Cons

Pay is slightly less than competitors but work life balance and culture make up for it.

Pros

Great benefits; 90% of the ppl that worked there were the best and really did great work.

Cons

Made employees choose between having MLK Day off or Juneteenth- both which are federally recognized holidays. Excuse was that our customers are open on those days so we need to be open. So as a company, we had to pick which would be a paid holiday and everyone chose Juneteenth because it was in the summer. I think we got a floating holiday to use for any other holiday we wanted off that wasn’t recognized by the company. As you can imagine, this racism was prevalent in management/leadership. My team was the most diverse team and we all got restructured/laid off. There’s a lot of ego and control issues in this company, especially in Talent Acquisition.
