Pros

You are part of a union and that union fights hard for you

Cons

When it came down to negotiating with peacehealth about wages and our union contracts, they submitted our pay bump and we were excited and pleased but then we found out later after signing the contract that the wage they quoted us, wouldn't begin for another year!! They are cutting down staff tremendously down to 2 cnas a floor. That's about 17 patients. Then they are replacing cnas with nurses but yet they get paid 3x more. Peacehealth does some risky things, ousting you and your license at risk. They don't listen to you, they even had the audacity to ask cnas on the floor how they liked working there and it was so they could use it for getting other cnas and staff but yet they dont pay us or staff us appropriately (patient to cna ratio) it's a lawsuit waiting to happen.
