Pros

Benefits are good - medical, dental, 401k, time off. You get all the basic stuff. My division does well so my job is pretty secure which is a good thing during the down economy.

Cons

I'm not sure what it is like in other Pearson offices, but the people in the Boston office are not friendly. You can pass someone in the hallway without any acknowledgement. People can be snobs and difficult to work with. Pay is not good and the raises are laughable. There is a lack of training which leads to unhappy people who end up leaving. It is very much a "sink or swim" mentality where you're left to figure things out on your own. Managers who claim to have an open door policy are very much unapproachable most of the time. It is very difficult to move forward and get promoted.

Pros

Decent pay. Not much else.

Cons

No lunch break, no breaks in general, can’t go to the bathroom for hours on end, the managers’ daughter gets special treatment because her mother is in charge. Constant criticism and unfair treatment.
