Pros
I started working at Peek at the beginning of 2022 in engineering, and have loved it since I got here - The People: Everyone I've interfaced with in the first 4 months has been really smart and excited to answer any questions you have or assist in collaborating on projects and tasks - Cutting edge: Peek has been extremely open to how we approach problems, and what solution we want to use. This has led to my team using tech that is cutting edge. This allows us to maximize performance as well as constantly creating new learning opportunities for developers - Leadership: The leadership believes in a bottom up approach, which aligns with my philosophies. My team, just like others crowdsources what everyone on the team thinks, and use that to make decisions - Executive Leadership: I've mostly interface with our CTO and CEO, but continue to be blown away by the fact that they are extremely accessible, and always willing to get feedback in order to improve. The all hands meetings are also the most inspiring I've experienced, and truly get me excited for the future here at Peek. We also have town halls where employees can ask any question they have anonymously, and the executive team is willing to answer anything that comes up, which is really nice - Growth: I'm still too new to experience it first hand, but with the company growing at the pace it is, there is a ton of opportunity to grow in your career here. Every all hands there is always a slew of people who are being promoted which is awesome to see coming from a company where that only happened maybe one or twice every 6+ months. - Compensation: Compensation is on par with the market, and the benefits package is one of the best I've personally experienced. They don't compete with the Googles and Facebooks of the world, but given our size, it's very competitive. We also check in to ensure everyone is payed fairly across job titles, and are always monitoring the market to ensure we're in line with others in the tech industry. I've heard this discussed at previous companies, but I can say first hand that Peek actually does this, whereas my previous employers where I've been a part of management didn't. - Fully Remote: I personally like going into an office and interacting with people face to face, but the culture here is the best I've experienced with regard to being fully remote. Everyone keeps their cameras on for every meeting (at previous companies this was never the case) which is nice when you don't get to see these individuals on a regular basis in person. It's clear a lot of thought has been put into providing an in-person experience while being remote. I can honestly say that I've never been so excited to work at and be a part of a company in my 10+ years in tech!
Cons
- I'm only 4 months in, but I haven't found any cons at this point. I know that sounds like a copout, but it's just the honest truth.
