Pros

-great compensation once you surpass your quota- incentivized to be a top performer -Work/life balance is still considered important -the product is incredibly valuable and ever-evolving; there is no lack of innovation of the product -CEO genuinely cares for the company and the individuals -trust in the reps to know what is best for the company so you have the autonomy to operate in the way that you feel is best for the customer and for the company without incredibly stringent tools -I believe in the sales leadership that is place today and the direction that they are taking the company - they want us all to succeed. -great office and amenities -love my coworkers -sales leadership is open to feedback, even when it is incredibly busy -customers are incredibly happy with the product

Cons

-constantly changing priorities, which make Pendo not the right fit for everyone. You still have to get scrappy -it is a large product. If you are not willing to take the time to learn the product, this is not the right place for you. You need to know how to focus on value, and not expect simply a transactional sales process. You are not going to be spoon-fed, you must speak up when you are in need of additional learning opportunities

Pros

Pendo is fast-paced and not afraid to try new things. I've been here for a little over a year and am consistently surprised at how much change my team has been able to drive in such a short period of time.

Cons

As stated in the 'pro' section, Pendo tries new things! That is not for everyone. Part of trying a lot of new things is that some of them don't work as intended, and you have to pivot from there. Leaders are not always great at change management, so not all of the experiments that end in pivots feel well thought out the further removed from decision making that you are. I've worked in a lot of different environments and would rather be in a company that tries things than one that let's 'this is how we do it' calcify into something that can't be questioned or changed.

Pros

As an engineer, the problems we solve are very interesting and at high-scale.

Cons

Crackdown in terms of metric-oriented developer productivity, but there is little accountability given to the product org setting the vision for the company. Pendo's offering is disjointed and the unclear PMF is more and more seeming to fall on engineering's shoulders as a perception of lack of output. It is entirely understandable to increase productivity with the industry pacing with that velocity, but that needs to be measured by outcomes, not inputs. And outcomes are a product of the team as a whole. Much of the industry looks like this, but I think the current sourness at Pendo is this has come at the expense of what was once a top-tier culture in the industry. One that was both highly productive and motivating. But unscrupulous decision making and leadership's lack of interest in addressing feedback has unfortunately made Pendo an uncertain place to work.
