Pros

decent stipend for RA, the Prof. doesn't micromanage the TA's, very nice campus and town, many research opportunities, State College is a great area for outdoors activities, many bars and restaurants downtown

Cons

mandatory training for many things, can fall through the cracks in a Uni this big, large campus means lots of walking (get a bike!), Penn State nickel and dimes the students

Pros

Amazing hours and pay. Everyone is extremely friendly. It does not get too crowded most of the time during the summer. Free access to the gym as well.

Cons

Do not have anything negative to say

Pros

Decent Benefits, Nice Amounts of Time off

Cons

Staff are the lowest of the totem pole and you KNOW it. Pay not enough to live by yourself as a working adult in State College Area. Will waste your time if there's nothing to do by requiring you to sit there while faculty and admin get to "work from home" (they really don't) President Benepudi will probably give herself 2 more $1.5 million pay increases while you work there unable to afford a simple apartment by yourself.
