There are so many cons for this employment I don’t even know where to begin. I guess I will start with the pay where I am from the pay is 23.30 per hour. For an investigator that is on the low end. Next, we will start with the isolating environment. You do get to work from home and you do get to talk to people when you do have appointments, but other than that you are alone, you do not have any coworkers to talk to you do not have any team there’s no team culture there’s no togetherness, you are by yourself at all times that can be very depressing. Next, we can talk about the workload. You are expected to meet metrics weekly. These metrics are use when moving up and obtaining bonuses. Most work that you complete will be sent back to you for additional fieldwork, and that can be exhausting on top of balancing new cases that come in. Sometimes you will have to fix the case a couple times before it is up to standards. The review team is very inconsistent and some don’t even understand what is needed of the investigator for the case. People can be nasty towards you and very condescending almost as if you are dumb. You will find yourself killing your vehicle driving around your city for this job. Yes, you do get paid mileage but you do not have any insurance. They do not pay for maintenance nothing. The expectations set for investigators are extremely unrealistic. They expect you to have multiple cases in at the same time and give you a short amount of time to complete them which can be hard because they want you to complete everything in person and people don’t like to answer their phones or get back to you. Everything is for profit. Everything is about the customer. You are just a number you are Just an Investigator. This job is very depressing. He can give you anxiety. He could be very isolating. It’s just not an ideal job. Yes, you can get your security clearance and that’s always a good thing to have. Let’s not forget that if you decide to work for this company as an investigator, you’ll have to sign a contract that states that if you quit before one year, you will have to pay back the cost for training, which is extremely expensive! So think twice before signing that contract.
