Pros

1. Diverse Client Portfolio • Perficient works with major brands across healthcare, finance, retail, and tech. This gives employees exposure to varied industries and modern tech stacks. 2. Opportunities to Learn and Grow • There are frequent opportunities to work on different technologies, platforms (like Salesforce, Adobe, AWS, Microsoft), and business domains, which helps build a well-rounded skill set. 3. Collaborative Work Environment • Many employees highlight strong teamwork, supportive peers, and collaborative culture as positives, especially in well-managed teams. 4. Remote and Flexible Work Options • The company supports remote work and flexible scheduling for many roles, which helps with personal time management and productivity. 5. Focus on Innovation and Digital Transformation • Perficient is known for staying current with digital trends—cloud, AI, and customer experience—giving employees the chance to work on innovative, cutting-edge projects.

Cons

Work-Life Balance Issues • Many employees report long hours, especially when working on client projects with tight deadlines. Some say work-life balance is not consistently prioritized. 2. Frequent Organizational Changes • Perficient often acquires smaller companies, leading to frequent changes in management structure, roles, or team composition, which can create instability or confusion. 3. Limited Career Advancement Opportunities • While some find growth, others feel promotions and role changes are not clearly structured or fairly distributed. Advancement may depend heavily on location or being on high-visibility projects. 4. Variable Project Experience • Since it’s a consulting firm, the quality of your experience depends heavily on the client you’re assigned to. Some clients offer great learning, while others may be outdated or limiting. 5. Compensation Not Always Competitive • Pay is often reported as average or below industry standard, especially for entry-level or offshore roles. Bonuses and raises are seen as inconsistent.

Pros

Very little outside of some of the people you work with. FTO is only nice if you have a manager who lets you use it. They did allow work from home, not sure if that is still the case.

Cons

This company was run poorly by Tom Hogan before private equity bought it but the buyout accelerated their decline. If you want to be a cog in the machine, this is the place for you. The leadership is only focused on themselves. They will praise you or throw you under the bus depending on how they feel it makes them look to their bosses. The employees who don’t have a stable long term project live in fear of being let go irregardless of talent and many of their most talented are leaving because they see the writing on the wall.
