Pros
Improving and developing pharma company with quality products, employee benefits, salaries and workplaces.
Cons
No structured training programme whatsover. Bearing in mind I joined with no pharma experience whatsoever you would expect the world's 5th largest pharmaceutical company (a £5b company) to have a formal training programme in place. There was a 2 week meet and greet 'on-boarding' schedule put in place by a colleague (rather than by HR dept which seems to be more of a traditional personnel / admin function...just with more aspiration but less substance) and that was it. After that (albeit with great support from some close colleagues who did their best to assist) I was left to my own devices with a £10m target and responsibility for 3 of the world's biggest pharmaceutical and consumer giants...with NO EXPERIENCE!
