Pros

You get to work with animals. There's room to move up in management if you have open availability 24/7 and are basically on call.

Cons

Not a great work/life balance. Expected complete open schedule 7 days a week open-close where they'll have you working close/open shifts. There's never enough hours for everyone. Constantly forcing you to upsale memberships, app enrollments, autoships, and coupon books. If you do not meet their daily metrics, they will cut your hours even more. Will force you to sell live animals to homes where they will be neglected.

helping pets and their parents, working with motivated and positive people, and the work environment was great!

they could only offer part time hours

Pros

If you have experience they can pay very well considering the size of the company. Depending on which store you are in, they can be pretty good at fostering a good environment and culture.

Cons

Company is primarily focused on sales and not customer experience. So expect a lot of metrics and hounding customers. Company is trying to be technologically forward but continues to neglect to invest in the technology. So there’s updates every week crashes every week with no communication around it.
