Pros

Good enviroment to be in if you love animals. Customers want to shop here and employees want to work here compared to employees in other retail enviroments. Industry insulated from many of the concerns about the economy. Competitive compensation package.

Cons

Certain field managers should not be positons they are in. Removal from these positions can be slow or non existent leaving them to do damage to the store staffing. This is a dynamic retail enviroment. You want to love animals to work here but it is still a business.

Pros

If you have experience they can pay very well considering the size of the company. Depending on which store you are in, they can be pretty good at fostering a good environment and culture.

Cons

Company is primarily focused on sales and not customer experience. So expect a lot of metrics and hounding customers. Company is trying to be technologically forward but continues to neglect to invest in the technology. So there’s updates every week crashes every week with no communication around it.
