Pros

This store is probably the best big box retail store in the county as far as customer service. The only other stores I've seen with the level of friendliness and customer service in the area are Festival Foods and Best Buy respectively. The people genuinely care about animals, and for the most part contribute to the duties that need to be done. Fun place to work. Workers are not generally put under a great deal of pressure for minor infractions. Excellent job for part time employees. The only up I can give to upper management is that if you have a limited time to work, management will only schedule during those times.

Cons

Top management are not to be trusted; they spend their time hanging out in the office even after they have promised to help get duties complete on the floor. Lower management relies on rank and file employees to go the extra mile and help them out. Upper management has a history of duplicity, even ranging to clearly unethical business conduct. concerning customers Top management has created a culture of discrimination against males. One male manager hired in the past 4 years (knowing it would be temporary), and he had exemplary qualifications, with at least 6 or 7 positions in that time. Males are regularly given distasteful tasks. Males are regularly harassed about minor violations in policy that females regularly flaunt.

Pros

The staff care a lot and try their hardest but it leads to burn out and being taken advantage of by a company the does not care about YOU.

Cons

Poor management. No work life balance. Bad scheduling. Bad pay. No communication. Leads expected to work more than 10 hours a day during high volume periods, Be responsible for too many things. You run around like a chicken with it's head chopped off the whole time you're at work. Staff are snippy, and rude. A few are okay. Company has you working bare bones, and does not care. Pet parent's are weird, and I don't think have realistic expectations that the boarding facility is more like dropping your dog off at a dog shelter for a week while you go on vacation than a "fun time" for your dog. Dogs get fed, watered, pottied. If that is all you care about, then use the PetHotel. If you want your dog to have fun, and be out of a stressful environment (few dogs do well with constant barking and noise all day, plus being stuck in a cement run, thrown in with a bunch of other dogs who have never been properly socialized) just do in home boarding. I would never board my dog at a place like this.
