Pros

Was a good company to work for a few years ago but has become like any other retailer in demanding long hours, bonus compensation that is nearly impossible to achieve. Company states that they take care of thier employees but as a tenured manager I've experienced otherwise. Although animal care is the number one priority.

Cons

Too many hours, little support from corporate office with customer complaints and always ready to take to customer's side. Too many criteria to meet to make a minimal bonus for store managers and no considerations taken for one's personal life. We have become the Target of pet stores.

Pros

If you have experience they can pay very well considering the size of the company. Depending on which store you are in, they can be pretty good at fostering a good environment and culture.

Cons

Company is primarily focused on sales and not customer experience. So expect a lot of metrics and hounding customers. Company is trying to be technologically forward but continues to neglect to invest in the technology. So there’s updates every week crashes every week with no communication around it.
