Business Outlook
Pros
Family environment that is supportive and collegial. There is the opportunity to teach both undergraduate and graduate students. It is very rewarding to work closely with students and the small campus gives one the feeling that it is possible know all the UG students by name. Parking is close and convenient and North Carolina is a nice place to work and live. The cost of living is lower than larger northeastern and west coast cities.
Cons
It is a tuition-driven school, so it is dependent on enrollment to meet budget goals. There is a great deal of power concentrated in one position in administration if this person doesn't agree with a project then it doesn't happen. The school should offer matching pension savings.
