Pros

My experience with the US leadership and US teams was significantly better. I found them more professional, supportive, collaborative, and focused on business outcomes. I also appreciate my first manager Sunitha Byreddy for her support and leadership during my journey.

Cons

I would not recommend this organization for professionals seeking a healthy work culture, fair leadership, and career growth—particularly within the India leadership structure. My experience was deeply disappointing due to poor leadership, lack of transparency, favoritism, and an unhealthy work environment. Career progression and recognition often felt influenced more by internal politics, personal favoritism, and pleasing leadership rather than merit, performance, or actual contribution. One of the major concerns was the lack of employee value and support. Employees who consistently delivered results and handled real-time operational pressure were often overlooked, while accountability for poor leadership decisions was missing. The HR function was also ineffective in addressing employee concerns, conflict resolution, or creating a supportive work culture. Instead of acting as a neutral support system, HR often appeared disconnected from the realities faced by employees. Work-life balance was extremely poor, with constant pressure, unrealistic expectations, and limited recognition for genuine contributions. There was significant pressure on high-performing teams, while leadership accountability remained weak.

Pros

Phenom offers exceptional flexibility with unlimited PTO and minimal micromanagement. The benefits are top-tier, and the free food in the office is a great perk. Overall, it’s a very employee-friendly environment that values autonomy.

Cons

There is a significant lack of direction within the CV team, with constantly shifting priorities and inconsistent delivery cycles. Methods and tools change frequently, and data collection is manual and inconsistent, frustrating both clients and employees. Furthermore, there is a lack of knowledge sharing between teams, which exacerbates inefficiencies. Leadership also lacks a clear vision for the department’s future, and there is no intuitive framework to streamline processes or deliver value more efficiently, creating ongoing friction for the team.
