Pros
Nothing worth staying here for.
Cons
My experience at Phenom People has been extremely disappointing, largely due to the incompetence and lack of care from directors and up. The leadership above is disconnected, only interested in metrics, and fails to address critical issues that affect both employees and clients. This has created a toxic work environment where burnout is rampant and morale is at an all-time low. One of the biggest challenges is the abysmal state of the support team. Clients are constantly complaining about the terrible support they receive, and the internal process is even worse. Unless you escalate issues—often to multiple departments and higher-ups—nothing gets done. Escalations have become the standard, which only adds to client frustration and employee stress. The work-life balance here is non-existent, especially for employees in India, who are regularly expected to work 12+ hour days with no recognition from directors or executive . Directors and above don’t seem to care about the well-being of their teams, as long as they hit their numbers. Employees are stretched thin, and there's zero effort to address the massive workloads. Training is another weak point. It’s virtually non-existent. New hires are thrown into the deep end with little to no guidance, which further exacerbates the dysfunction in day-to-day operations. Employees aren't set up for success, and this leads to mistakes, more escalations, and frustrated clients. Additionally, the company engages in dishonest practices when it comes to reviews. Most of the positive reviews you see online are fake, as Phenom asks new hires to submit glowing reviews during the onboarding process—well before they’ve had a chance to fully experience the company culture or understand how things truly operate. Favoritism in promotions is a widespread issue. Directors and up tend to promote those they personally like rather than those who have earned it through hard work and merit. It’s demoralizing for those of us who work long hours and give our best, only to see others favored for reasons that have nothing to do with performance or contribution. Overall, Phenom People is a company in serious need of better leadership. The directors and up are incompetent, there’s no transparency, and the culture is incredibly toxic. Both employees and clients suffer, and the company's focus on numbers above all else has created a deeply dysfunctional environment. If you’re looking for a place where you’ll be supported and valued, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere.
