Pros

Location - Board of Trade Building

Cons

Everything but location. Husband and wife team fight on premises. Husband and wife team trade departments back and forth constantly, while simultaneously rearranging priorities. I was there less than 2 years. IT dept was under her when I was hired, switched to him a couple of months later (while she disappeared for about a month) and then went back to her a few months later. Every time the parent company owner (her father) complained about something priorities would change again and we would be asked why we didn't do things like the parent company. By the way, the parent company has 100+ developers. We had 2 or 3 at any given time. Constantly criticized for not working fast enough, but never provided the support that was needed. I could go on but I think you get the point. Horrible place to work. They don't care about employees at all.

Pros

Working at Phillip Capital has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. The company strikes a rare balance between entrepreneurial energy and institutional stability. Leadership has a clear, long-term vision, and you can genuinely feel the momentum as the firm continues to grow and evolve in smart, strategic ways. What stands out the most is the collaborative culture. Departments like Operations, Compliance, Accounting, Technology, and Execution work closely together, and there's a strong sense of shared purpose. You're not just a number here—your voice is heard, your ideas matter, and you're encouraged to take initiative. The work-life balance is excellent, which is refreshing in the financial services industry. The flexibility, support, and hybrid work environment is a place where people can truly thrive both professionally and personally. If you're looking for a place where you can make a real impact, grow your career, and work with great people, Phillip Capital is a fantastic choice. I'm proud to be part of a firm that's going places—and doing it the right way.

Cons

As a growing firm, some internal processes are still being refined. It’s not a place where everything is already perfectly structured—but that also means there’s room to help shape those processes. Certain tools and systems could use modernization, though there’s clear effort underway to make improvements.

Pros

I do not see any significant advantages to working for this company. Employee loyalty, dedication, and long-term commitment do not appear to be recognized or rewarded.

Cons

Management appears to struggle with effectively leading and developing the organization. Hiring decisions often seem to be based on personal relationships or prior associations rather than selecting the most qualified candidate for the role. There are instances where employees are hired into positions without the required licenses or qualifications, while individuals who demonstrate poor job performance or display condescending behavior toward colleagues are retained. These practices can negatively impact employee morale, accountability, and overall organizational effectiveness
