Pros

Most of the families were great to work with, most of the kids are great. I felt very connected to the staff, it was a good family environment.

Cons

I worked there for one short year for good reason. They refuse to raise your pay if you are an assistant and become a lead teacher. When they do give raises, which is as rare as Jesus making an appearance, it can be as low as 10 cents an hour, which to me is a slap in the face. When there are children who are a threat to other kids, they do not take it seriously. I had lots of trouble getting the front to phone parents when their children were running high fevers in the classroom. They like to say they have a structured building, but they let certain parents walk all over them, so teachers are forced to give special treatment to particular children out of fear that the parents will take unnessecary action. Just a skim off the top of my cons list.

Pros

I enjoy working in PCA, because ever since I’ve worked here I felt welcomed! Staff is kind and is quickly to make you feel as part of their work family. This was important for me because as a mother of three. I needed to know I was bringing my kids to people I can trust.

Cons

What I’ve struggled working here has been when staff call off. It makes it hard on the entire school. But even in the hard times we always make it through.

Pros

I have been with PCA for 11 years as the chef and parttime teacher. I love seeing the smiles on the children's face when I walk in each morning along with the big hugs they give. The work environment is very respected, and we support each other as we are family. I enjoy everyday that I come to work. It is my escape from the real world. I get to work with people I have a enjoy. Then I get to be silly and have fun when I go into the classrooms. The parents I have met over the years have been amazing. Building the bond with them and having engaging conversations is wonderful. Our school has truly built a great culture for everyone from staff to families to feel very welcomed.

Cons

NONE! I love this place!
