Pros

Prior to the new hospital being built: Worked with amazing staff, that's what kept a lot of us there. Child Life was awesome. Some of the physicians were amazing. An interesting place to work, never a dull moment. Met some awesome and wonderful children/families.

Cons

Floor manager unorganized. During my 5 years of employment the floor manager was switched 3 times. Upper management not involved. Unsafe working conditions and high acuity. Often understaffed and concerns never addressed. Underpaid. Under-appreciated. The staff that needed reprimanding never got in trouble yet continued to pose a threat to the patients and entire organization. Employees not treated well.

Pros

The culture here is truly exceptional. From day one, I’ve felt supported, encouraged and set up for success. It’s been a genuine joy coming to work each day. What stands out most is how approachable and invested everyone is at every level, including the CEO. They take the time to answer questions and offer guidance. Coming from an academic background into a completely new environment and I’ve really appreciated the patience and understanding from my colleagues as I tackle this brand new adventure. It’s a welcoming, collaborative place where you feel valued, and I’m grateful to be part of the team.

Cons

Things move quickly, which can be challenging at first, but it keeps the work engaging and creates lots of opportunities to learn and grow.

Pros

Guaranteed hours. Friendly co-workers. Pay is decent if you know you're worth.

Cons

No career support for experienced nurses looking to pivot or transition to a different role. Raises were not given due to Medicaid cuts.
