Pros

There is a good amount of autonomy if you do your job well. The supervisory nurses are pleasant and helpful as are the staff that schedules most of the time. Their jobs are stressful, so that means a lot. Depending on your assignment, you may not have to work holidays. They do pay time and a half for them, though. Note that the Hospice and Home Care areas are separate. They are not degree snobs and will take your working experience into consideration.

Cons

Very little PTO, which does not increase after five or ten years of service, etc. Neither will your bonuses. You will not necessarily make more than the new hires Benefits are rather expensive. You must purchase uniforms from them to wear Mileage is paid but at a very low rate and a limited amount of miles. They do not always offer assignments close by, but will accommodate a change as soon as it is available. You will have to remind them and advocate for yourself as they do not see you every day. During times of hospitalizations, etc you may have to fill in at different locations and homes and that can be stressful.
