Pros

Photon has played vital role in derailing my career. I am very happy that I didn't join this company as fresher. Though lost 1 year of my career but learnt a very important lesson that never choose any company without proper background research.

Cons

Since I have too many points to mention under this section, I will try to keep it simple with short pointers 1 The official work timing in this company is 10 hours, which I suppose is against 'Labour Law' in India 2 Swipe in /out mechanism tracks every movement of employees, which clearly signifies how much company management trust their resources 3 Management do not follow any policy designed by them. The policy documents available in company portal are not detailed enough which gives leverage to management to play with thier resources 4 Photon has no employee friendly ploicy and they try to own resources. During my short tenure I have received multiple mails regarding conversion of weekends into working days 5 Employees were treted very badly during the most critical time of Chennai flood. Resources were pushed to travel to Bangalore with no proper accomodation and conveyance 6 Company claim to execute projects in Agile process but under the pool they follow waterfall model I have many more points to mention under the section but I would like to share the list directly with Photon HR team.

The productive hours are in line with the client requirements and is followed in most of the MNCs which also is very well within the law requirements. Apart from this the timing itself is flexible unlike companies who penalize for late coming. Photon offers a range of employee benefits including medical coverage, marriage loans, Official travel assistance (domestic and international), Relocation benefits, Certification policy to encourage/support employee to up skill on latest technology and so on. In case of criticality of projects there might be instances where employees will support on weekends for which Compensatory leaves are provided accordingly. Pros

Really good company to work for. Health benefits were great and was able to negotiate a good rate for my contract

Cons

Communication could improve in terms of staying in contact with the contractor. Working with the individual for their next role as the contract is nearing an end would be an area of opportunity as well.

Pros

Can be on interesting projects Some really good people If on correct team can be very good conditions such as remote work

Cons

Zero opportunities for growth Limited to no work/life balance No Severance Do not pay when on the bench Wrong team or manager the hr insanity can make it rough (One year they decided july 4th was not a holiday another they decided to lower the salary and increase the percentage that was bonus effectually giving everyone a pay cut).. Honestly a 2 might being generous but i have worked with some nice people there and the vast majority of the people were nice and good just wanting to get the job done . Any 5s are probably fake or the lucky few that do not have to deal with Photon Hr.
