Pros
Phunware has a strong overall family culture, with unique sub-cultures at the various offices in prominent locations (Austin, Newport Beach, San Diego, Miami, UK, etc.). It's a culture of caring about employees, both personally and professionally. The best employees are happy employees. One of the best things about Phunware is the open and transparent communication across the organization and within teams. Managers listen and follow-up. Teams are empowered to deliver. There's accountability to treat others as you want to be treated, to be "leaders" not "bosses", and to only hire people that fit into our team environment of fast growth.
Cons
I genuinely can't think of any serious cons. I love working at Phunware. The people and offices are fantastic. If I had to come up with something, I'd just say that any exciting, fast-paced, start-up that is evolving into something bigger and greater is going to involve hard work and some extended hours. But, we have fun while doing it and it's typically balanced. Plus, management is flexible and sensitive to "make it right" - i.e. recognize when a team member needs a break or some time off. I give 4 stars because no company is perfect. Phunware occasionally has the same issues that every company faces. But, nothing comes to mind that is specific and unique to Phunware. Processes, benefits, reviews, compensation, etc. are constantly improving...
